    This Prova Education program, presented by Deborah O'Connor PhD, RD, Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Toronto and Director of Clinical Dietetics at The Hospital for Sick Children, has been developed from the May 2011 live meeting in Denver, CO, A Month in the Life: Achieving Recommended Nutritional Status in Preterm, Low Birth Weight Infants Before, During and Beyond Hospital Discharge. This program discusses preterm infant nutritional needs beginning at the NICU, the complexities of ensuring good nutritional status, and monitoring care through the transition to home and community settings. Through a review of new evidence-based information, physicians can apply practices that will support nutrition decisions for pre-term and low birth weight infants upon admittance to the NICU and continue through transitions.

Clinicians are left with the task to effectively assess women who are at risk for prenatal delivery in order to prevent preterm labor and reduce perinatal morbidity and mortality. Role of Fetal Fibronectin (fFN) in the Risk-Assessment for Preterm Birth (PTB)

  The treatment armamentarium for multiple myeloma (MM) has expanded significantly in recent years, with 6 new agents or indications approved by the US Food & Drug Administration since 2015. Treatment options now include immunomodulatory drugs, proteasome inhibitors, a histone deacetylase inhibitor, and immunotherapies, making clinical decisions much more complex. Additionally, best practices and consensus guidelines, such as those from the National Comprehensive Cancer Network® (NCCN®) and International Myeloma Working Group (IMWG), are constantly evolving as new data are published. Approval of these new agents, revision of response criteria, and implementation of new approaches to risk assessment and monitoring residual disease are causing significant changes in the management of MM. This activity will review areas of current controversy and topics for which consensus is not yet established, including when to initiate treatment, determining transplant eligibility, high-risk disease, duration of maintenance therapy, sequencing newly approved drugs, and choice of treatment at relapse.

Clinical Debates in Multiple Myeloma: Putting Evidence Into Context

The complexity and heterogeneity of multiple sclerosis (MS) pathogenesis renders its clinical course and response to therapy highly variable, particularly among special populations.
