Hello everyone. Hope you all are doing fine and enjoying great mental health. I am back in this community after a long time. Because I did not crochet or created anything. I had stepped away from crochet for a while because I just wasn't feeling inspired or motivated to continue. Sometimes, the spark fades, and that's okay. But now, I'm excited to say that I'm back in this community! I'm rediscovering the joy of creating with yarn and reconnecting with what I once loved. It feels good to return with fresh energy and a renewed appreciation for the craft. Here is what I made.
I always have said that it is very difficult to find crochet inspirations. But now I've learnt to find them. I have followed many instagram pages. I have saved many things. So finding inspiration is not a problem now. I went to yarn shopping yesterday. I was demotivated because I did not have new yarns. So I went shopping and bought alot of pretty colors. I specifically bought yarn for duck. The color was not available in the local yarn so I had to pay extra to get the imported one. As soon as I arrived in my hostel I waited no longer and started making it.
This pattern was new to me because she made the head first and then body separately and then join it. But it could've been easier if it was made once. Then I learnt that there are different ways to do a single thing. I did not have orange color for the beak and feets so I used dark yellow. It was looking good also. Thus us my first time using imported yarn and believe me it was nothing different from local one. But it was a mew experience so never mind. After making the head and body separately ant joining them using needle. I made the beak and eyes. I also bought a new crochet hook and needle yesterday because the needle I had before was like my enemy. It always ruin the eyes and face after u put my everything in the body of amugrumi. So new needle was the need of time. In this duck I made the eyes and face using that needle and it was very neat and easy. I did not have to fight for my life.
According to the toturial it was all for the duck but I felt like adding more details. So I scrolled youtube and find this cute duck with cap. So I made the hat for my duck. And these strings are my own creativity. I was very impressed. I learnt that I can use my mind and thay can turn out beautiful. After that I attached it with the body using glue gun. And it was complete.
I enjoyed and learnt alot of things during the process. Now that I am back I will post regularly. Drop your suggestion in the comments below.
