Melissa is the author of Cowboy Dad. She holds a master’s degree in higher education administration. An Adult Child of an Alcoholic (ACA), she also earned an Alcohol and Drug Counseling certificate.

She currently works at the Council on Alcoholism Abuse in Santa Barbara County.
