On November 21, 2017 the New York Times published an article in OpEd section of the paper and entitled “Charles Manson Was Not a Product of the Counterculture.” For a conservative such as myself, this article is egregiously specious and viciously spurious. The objective is obvious: The author, Woods, believes that there is some sort of relationship between the conservative right and Charles Manson. TPA defines what is the right and what is the left to see if Charles Manson fits into either of these groups, or really any group, anywhere.
