First up—the New York Film Festival wraps up this Sunday, October 13. It's your last chance to catch some groundbreaking films right here in the city.
Next, the New York Burlesque Festival kicks off Thursday, October 9, and runs through Sunday, October 12. Expect dazzling performances from artists worldwide.
Finally, the New York Comic Con is happening from October 9 to October 12. If you're into comics, movies, or pop culture, this is the place to be.
Our women's soccer team faced a tough match against the University of Chicago on October 4, narrowly losing 3-2. Leah Berg and Julia Spang each scored, showing great determination. They're back in action this Saturday, October 11, hosting the University of Rochester at 7:30 p.m. at Lubetkin Field in Newark, New Jersey.
On October 9, Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò at NYU is hosting "Till Here and Beyond," a conversation with acclaimed photographer Fabrizio Ferri. It's a great opportunity to gain insights into his latest projects.
Also on October 9, the Department of Anthropology is presenting a lecture titled "Excited Delirium: Race, Police Violence, and the Invention of a Disease" by Aisha Beliso De Jesús from Princeton University. It's a timely discussion on critical social issues.
This week in New York City, expect mild temperatures with highs in the mid-70s and lows in the mid-60s. There's a chance of showers midweek, so keep an umbrella handy.
