The K98k rifle was the “backbone” of the Wehrmacht, and one of the final developments in the long line of Mauser rifles. Taylor brought two rifles to discuss for this episode; a Russian Captrue 1940 made by Berlin-Lubecker Machinenfabriken Werkes K98k, and a Polish Wz. 29 used in the Spanish Civil War.
