NYU SPS Dean’s Scholars - Peer Mentors
In this episode of our student created podcast, hear from those who we call “Dean’s Scholars” and what it means to be a peer mentor. Looking to learn more about what it means to be one ? You’ve landed in the right place!
NYU SPS offers a scholarship grant to both, Undergraduate and Graduate students and this is one of the few opportunities open to all students. The scholarship amount ranges from $5,000-$10,000 per student for across two semesters. As explained by our scholars in this podcast, there is an application process that is straightforward, however, they share more about what it means to be a peer mentor.
“A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself” . Hear our scholars speak about the challenges they face being a mentor and how through it all they find it rewarding, fulfilling and it helps them to build connections with students from various backgrounds.
