This week we see the rise and fall of David's son Absalom. Absalom rises up against David and causes great pain to his dad. It is a grim time for David and the Kingdom of Israel. Yet, somehow David keeps his trust in the Lord and exhibits the heart of God in the most difficult circumstances. David helps us learn how to forgive, defeat anxiety, and live in the Gospel.
