Minister Tate has been offering himself to brothers behind the wall for over 26 years, his prison ministry has been his passion. Starting as a one-on-one mentor at the Fred C. Nelles Youth Authority in Whittier, CA, the Lord blessed him tremendously to expand his prison ministry into 60 prisons nationwide, singing, preaching and counseling thousands of men and women within the walls, making him one of the most sought after men EVER in the prison ministry circuit. In 2013, he was blessed to film his groundbreaking prison documentary “Praise Behind the Walls” at the Maryland Correctional Institution in Jessup, MD and in 2018, his follow up documentary “Grace Beyond the Walls” gave the viewers a very passionate indepth view of the thousands of lives that have been blessed through his prison ministry. If you ask him, his most honorable accomplishment has been being a fulltime single father of 2 sons & 1 daughter (Kirklyn, Christyl and Christopher) and now a granddad of 1! He prides himself on making sure that his kids are ALWAYS #1 in his life. Since August, 2007, he has served as the President of Black Men Raising Girls Alone (BMRGA), a support group of over 200 African American single fathers throughout the east coast.
Today, as he puts it, though he is no where NEAR where he sees God taking him! We celebrate & rejoice because he is truly blessed, called, anointed and gifted by God! #realtalkpodcast
