Life is filled with distractions, especially in cities where people, tasks and responsibilities are always demanding attention. Finding time for new projects, even highly desired ones, is hard. But if they are slow starting, like the blank page staring at the would-be writer, if they demand thought and study, these can be very difficult to squeeze into one’s life. Enter the Retreat where one is geographically pulled away from one’s normal busy life and relocated to a quiet, restful place where time is available and plentiful. A place where others have come to work on similar projects, a place where teachers are available to guide and support these projects, that is an opportunity to follow one’s desire, that is a Retreat.
