Fantastic
What a wonderful message to share with people both young and old. I work with two young kids - one not quiet old enough to understand 'plots' but loves to listen in general, and one about to go into first grade. While he hasn't been bullied, he's talked about kids in his school that don't have friends, and are usually by themselves during play time outside. It was a good way for him to see it in a different perspective and then we were able to talk about what he could say/do when he starts school again in Sept.
It's written in a simple way, too. Which has been great reading practice as well - sometimes it's nice to have the kid read to me, too. ;)
Childhood Tree
Great book about a tree I would see and stop, rest, and play under as a child living in Hollywood. I highly recommend purchasing if you have hiked the Bronson trail. As a college student looking back at a childhood I've only just left, this is a wonderful book to have.

Oakley is the perfect book for my kids. My 1, 3 & 5 year old kids love it and their 10 year old brother can read it to them without help. Its a great message for all of my kids.
