There has been widespread outrage against the provision of the draft Copyright Amendment Bill. Frustrated musicians, artists and composers say the Bill doesn't make provision for composers and musicians to get what is due to them when work is used in movies and other productions. But the Bill actually protects the rights of artists against commercial exploitation and will stop them being ripped off by unfair distribution and reproduction agreements.
