Psalm 119 is a God-ordained hymn to God's Word. It is the longest chapter in the Bible. This hymn to God's Word comes to us in 22 stanzas and each stanza is represented by one of the 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet. Each line in every stanza will begin with the same Hebrew letter that is assigned to it.

As we dig deep into the 8th stanza we will be carried along by the blessed path created by the focus of the many terms used for God's Word, such as Law, Promise, Statutes, Commands, Precepts and Decrees. This journey may take a little bit of work and diligence, but it will lead to a growing sense of obedience and devotion to God's Word.
