Obedience: Key to Victorious Living
2 Cor. 10:4-6
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not [a]carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
Living in obedience to God as He leads you through His words and instructs you in your day to day activities guarantees your victory over the attack of the enemy.
The scriptures confirms this for us in Proverbs 16:7
“When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.”
The legal ground you have to bind and loose and cast out - is your obedience to God’s word.
In other words, the enemy’s legal ground against you is your disobedience.
In what ways have you been disobedient to the word of God?
Signs you might be living in disobedience:
You are not hearing further instructions from God - we see that in the case of Abraham that God ceased to speak to him until Lot was no longer with him, afterall the instruction was:
“Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you.”
Genesis 12:1 NKJV
But he took Lot with him - that a partial obedience
Another sign you might have given the devil a legal hold against you by your disobedience, is when you seem to be overcome by little battles. We see that in the Israelites example with the small city Ai.
Examine yourself today - God is calling you to total obedience:
…and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
Let us pray:
Repeat after me -
Father, I thank you for this glorious day. Thank you Lord for opening my eyes to this key to victorious living - my obedience.
Father, today, I pray, forgive me of every form of disobedience and grant me the grace to be obedient to you no matter the cost.
No more partial obedience or delayed obedience - I surrender to your will and your leading in Jesus name!
Amen! Amen!! and Amen!!!
