While they were serving the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”  Then, after they had fasted and prayed and placed their hands on them, they sent them off.

Brothers and sisters in Christ! In a time of devoted worship and fasting, the Holy Spirit spoke, commanding, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Through the power of prayer and fasting, the faithful followers acted swiftly, laying their hands upon these chosen vessels and sending them forth to fulfill their divine purpose. Let this be a testimony to us all, a stirring example of obedience to the heavenly calling. May we, too, be attuned to the whisper of the Holy Spirit, ready to be set apart for the sacred tasks set before us. Let our hearts be open, our ears attentive, and our hands eager to serve the will of God Almighty. As bold ambassadors of Christ, let us heed the call with unwavering faith and zeal, ready to be sent out into the world to spread His message of redemption, salvation, and love!
