When confronted with the Gospel, people typically respond in one of four ways, as illustrated in Acts 5. Some oppose it fiercely, as seen in the case of the jealous Sadducees who arrested the apostles. Others proclaim it boldly, as the apostles did when declaring, 'We must obey God rather than men.' Some, like Gamaliel, sit on the fence, suggesting a wait-and-see approach despite having access to evidence. Most remarkably, true believers take joy in suffering for Christ, as the apostles did after being flogged, continuing to spread the message with renewed vigor. These reactions challenge us to examine our own response to God's truth.
