Jamie bought a new mixer this week. So he apologizes for making Spencer sound like he was talking in a bathroom. Hopefully he figures things out before next week.
Nagarote Tribe
After tribal council Shirin tried to find out why Max was voted out and Carolyn said it was because they were disloyal and blaming it on the constant scheming that Shirin and Max had been doing. Hail was a bit more honest and admitted that everyone thought they were annoying. Shirin in confessional vowed to make changes and become apart of her tribe.
Escameca Tribe
Rodney and Joaquin decided to work together because they have the most in common on their tribe. Since Joaquin and Tyler are old white-collar members they tried to convince Sierra to work with them, but she had her misgivings because of Joaquin aligning with Rodney.
Reward Challenge
The tribes had to climb through a series of obstacles to make it to the top of a tower. Once at the top they had to one at a time launch sandbags down on the field below to hit six targets.
Nagarote started strong with hitting the targets after almost being blown out of the water in the race. Escameca caught up to Nagarote and it appeared they would win but Rodney slowed them down in the target-hitting department allowing Nagarote to catch back up and win.
Nagarote won a dinner on the beach picnic style and an evening watching sea turtles on the beach at a sea turtle sanctuary. During this reward Shirin was able to reconnect with her tribe.
Immunity Challenge
Before the immunity challenge Rodney schemed with Mike to vote out Joe by throwing the next challenge. Rodney’s allegiances seemed a bit muddy because he told Mike that he had Joaquin wrapped around his finger. I thought he had found the bromance we was looking for with Joaquin. Anyway Mike agreed to go along with Rodney plan only because he wants to help keep Kelly by not having to go to tribal council.
The immunity challenge was most likely tailored to be one that either tribe could win after last week’s crushing defeat of Nagarote because of their sheer lack of physical strength when compared to Escameca. The tribes had to memorize a series of six items and then line the same items up from memory. Nagarote started strong but Escameca caught up and it appeared that Rodney’s plan was in danger until Mike went up against Kelly in the last round. He whispered to her that he was throwing the challenge and throw it he did. Nagarote won and Escameca went to tribal council.
Tribal Council
Dan and Mike started having suspicions about Rodney and his loyalty before Escameca went to tribal council which led them to approach Joe and tell them of Rodney’s plan and suggested they get rid of Joaquin. Dan and Mike also told Joe about Dan’s missteps with Sierra and how they needed her vote but weren’t sure they could get it from her. Dan and Mike both spoke with Sierra and she was conflicted.
