Surf Report - Ocean City MD Beaches

Ocean City Beaches Surf Report for 03-18-2025

Listen Later

Beach Lovers and Wave Chasers, listen up! We're diving into your weekend coastal conditions for the Mid-Atlantic shoreline.

Grab your sunscreen and board shorts because we're looking at a stellar beach weekend with plenty of sunshine and moderate surf. Temperatures will climb into the mid to upper 70s, perfect for soaking up those last golden rays of early autumn.

Surf conditions are sitting pretty at 2 to 3 feet across most beaches from Maryland to the Outer Banks. But don't let those mellow waves fool you - we've got a moderate rip current risk in play. Translation: stay alert and swim smart near jetties, piers, and rocky areas.

Water temperatures are hovering in the upper 60s, so you might want a light wetsuit if you're planning extended ocean time. The UV index is moderate, which means sunscreen is your best friend - reapply generously!

Saturday will feature west winds around 10 to 15 mph, keeping things breezy but not too wild. Sunday sees winds shifting southwest and potentially picking up speed in the afternoon.

Tides will be your rhythm this weekend. Ocean City's looking at a low around 9:13 AM and high at 3:46 PM. Virginia Beach follows a similar dance, with low tide near 9:18 AM and high tide at 3:44 PM.

Heads up, beach enthusiasts - this is the season's final forecast. We'll catch you back here mid-May 2025. Until then, respect the ocean, watch those currents, and ride those waves safely!
