Surf's up beach lovers! This is your weekend wave report coming straight from the National Weather Service.

Get ready for a stunning autumn beach weekend with sunny skies and moderate surf conditions. Our coastal regions are looking at a perfect beach getaway with temperatures cruising into the mid to upper 70s.

Rip current risk is moderate on Saturday, so swim smart and stay alert. Expect waves rolling in at 2 to 3 feet - perfect for some casual surfing or body boarding. Water temperatures are sitting comfortably in the upper 60s, making for a refreshing ocean experience.

Saturday's west winds around 10 to 15 mph will keep things breezy but not overwhelming. Sunscreen is a must with a moderate UV index, so protect that skin while soaking up those rays.

Tides will be dancing throughout the day. Ocean City will see low tide at 9:13 AM and high tide at 3:46 PM. Virginia Beach and Wachapreague have similar tide schedules, so plan your beach activities accordingly.

Sunday brings similar conditions with a slightly lower rip current risk. Winds will shift southwest and pick up a bit, potentially reaching 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon.

Looking ahead to Columbus Day, expect slightly larger surf around 2 to 5 feet with west winds cranking up to 20 mph. Temperatures will cool down midweek, dropping into the upper 50s with clear skies.

A quick safety reminder: Always respect the ocean, watch for signs, and never swim alone. This is the final beach forecast until mid-May 2025, so make these autumn beach days count!

Stay safe, have fun, and catch those waves!
