Surf's up, beach lovers! Get ready for a stellar weekend along the Mid-Atlantic coastline as we dive into our final beach forecast of the season.

Saturday's shaping up to be a stunner with sunny skies and temperatures climbing into the mid to upper 70s. But don't let the beautiful weather fool you - we've got a moderate rip current risk in play. Surfers and swimmers, stay alert! Those waves will be rolling in at a solid 2 to 3 feet, perfect for some catch and release action.

Water temperatures are hovering in the upper 60s, so you'll want a light wetsuit if you're planning an extended ocean adventure. West winds around 10 to 15 mph will keep things interesting, creating some nice wind chop for the adventurous.

Tides are looking predictable across the region. Ocean City's fishing pier will see a low tide around 9:13 AM and a high tide at 3:46 PM. Virginia Beach and Wachapreague will follow similar patterns, so plan your beach day accordingly.

Sunday continues the sunny streak with a slight wind shift to the southwest. Winds will pick up to 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon, so expect some livelier conditions. The rip current risk drops to low, but always keep those water safety skills sharp.

Looking ahead to Columbus Day, expect 2 to 5 feet of surf with west winds around 20 mph. Tuesday and Wednesday will cool down dramatically, with highs dropping into the upper 50s and northwest winds making things crisp.

A quick pro tip from the pros: surf heights over 4 feet can create dangerous breaking waves, so always respect the ocean's power.

This is our final beach forecast until mid-May 2025, so make these last autumn beach days count! Stay safe, have fun, and catch those waves!
