Human Rights Measurement Initiative (HRMI) is an important instrument for the Pacific Islands States. Nations are exploring and examining how to achieve the 2030 Agenda of 17 Sustainable Development Goals and realize rights for own people.  HRMI is the first global initiative to track the human rights performance of the Pacific and around the planet that is comprehensive, collaborative and creative metric movement to ensure independent assessment of the rights record in the region.  The UN High Level Political Forum and the Pacific Islands Forum both featured essential examples of important human rights in Oceania.
