Among numerous international relief missions since the 1990s, Brother James Chen has traveled to volunteer in Haiti 78 times. Despite the tremendous hardships encountered during visits, he feels grateful and truly humbled by the resilience and faith of the people of Haiti. In his sharing, he describes the tremendous suffering witnessed, and the possibility of joy and transformation.
