This week, as we study the book of Leviticus, we discuss the Lord's admonishment to Israel to observe a Sabbath every seven days, a Jubilee ever seven years, and a Jubilee of Jubilees every 50 years. The land would lay fallow, and the people would trust that God would provide. God inserts in us this radical new way of being. In resting we believe God is in control. In resting, we have faith in Him to take care of us.
