Hour 1:
The American Royal Weekend is almost upon us!  What better way to kick off this week’s show than with Bob Wolfe, the director of Operations and Maintenance for the American Royal Association.  Bob will give us some insight in t what it takes for him and his team to go from Rodeo to BBQ to concerts…to whatever eklse they do in that 2 week time frame.  With almost 600 teams taking part in the Open portion, it has to be a dance of precision to fit all of them on the grounds!
Keeping with the American Royal theme, one of the most popular people in the world of BBQ today, Pitmaster of Pellet Envy, Rod Gray joins me to cover his take on the Royal and why it means so much to so many.  We might also get Rod’s recap of the Sam’s Club Regional event he took part in last week…maybe “Traditional” style BBQ as well?  Time will tell!!
Hour 2:
Last, but certainly not least on the American Royal agaenda tonight, Joe Beland of Tippy Canoe BBQ Crew joins me to talk about the potential of repeating as the American Royal Invitational Champion (the won in 2011)…and his odds on winning both the Invite and Open back to back.  Tippy Canoe is currently 5th in the Team of the Year race for KCBS.
Helping me close the show strong tonight is a regualr contributor to the show, and writer of the Smoke Signals Blog which can bee found on the Washington Post, Jim Shahin.  Jim will lay out how each presidential candidate can win the office by strategically plotting their way around specific BBQ regions and restaurants!  Jim will also share some history on BBQ dating back to the journals of George Washington.
