When I was first born again….I could ask my pastor to pray for me or other people of faith…and receive my healing or whatever it was I was needing…but there came a time when those prayers did not work anymore…which signaled it was time for me to grow up spiritually and begin praying for myself.  Our families are the same way…you cannot expect momma to pray for you and you have been saved 20 years…you cannot continue to pray for you kids and they have been grown and on their own for 20 years…you CAN and SHOULD pray for them….I’m not saying don’t do that…but what I am saying is there comes a time when they will have to stand on their own two feet, spiritually speaking!  Amen!  Just like in the natural…there comes a time when a baby will begin to walk on its own….you want it to happen…if a 15 year old is still trying to crawl around the house and refusing to walk…you would say something is wrong…amen!  

Now, when baby first starts to take its first steps…it will fall down and you should be right there to catch it and make sure it is not hurt…it will fall down…it will bump into things…it will wobble all over the place…but after just a few days…it realizes how to get things to operate together – and then it is off to the races! Amen!

It is the same way spiritually…when you first find yourself in the situation where the prayers of others are not working like they used to…that is your key that the Lord is telling you it is time for YOU to take authority over this situation and learn to fend for yourself a little bit…you will fall, bump into things…get bruised a little bit here and there…but when you come out on top…and you will with Jesus on your side…there will quickly come a “learning” that NOW – the devil cannot operate in your life in that area anymore!!!  Then it is off to the races as far as you learning how to operate in your faith is concerned!  Amen!  You will become a Spiritual Track Star!  Amen!  SO – having done all to stand (in God’s armor and His Power, His Might and His Authority) – STAND!

“How long do I have to stand, brother Bob?”  FOREVER!  “Whaaaat?  Forever?”  YES – the Word of God is forever, isn’t it?  When you finally make the decision that no matter what – you are not giving up and you are not giving in…you are going to stand until you get your breakthrough or not get it…but you will not back down…when your faith reaches that point of maturity…you will find you do not have to stand very long…amen!

But if you are just going to “try” to stand…or you are going to “try” tithing…or you are going to “try” seed time and harvest, sowing and reaping…or you  are going to “try” fasting….it will never work…

So, make the decision and just DO IT!  I sound like a Nike commercial…but that is where they got it from…make the decision – and DO IT!  And you will WIN every time.
