There is nothing worse than spending tons of time and money on something and then you find out that it was all for nothing. When you're working on something new and you have a timeline, most of the time, it's just best to come out with something that just barely works. Then when you start getting feedback, then that is when you can start removing or adding stuff that people actually want. If you look at the first Iphone, it didn't even have a cut and paste option, but it was sent out anyways. 

When you're giving a presentation, you can give too much information on a subject and it will cause people to get lost. So you need to find the balance between too much and too little. Time is something we shouldn't waste, so make sure you do the minimal viable product to get the thing out and take it from there.
