This week we're honing in on what could be the final steps of negotiations for Biden's budget proposal:

  1. A version of President Biden's domestic agenda — even with reforms — promises major advances in the US, but still leaves us way behind plenty of countries in terms of social spending.
  2. Two anonymous organizers from the Jan. 6th Stop the Steal rallies spoke with The Rolling Stone, revealing they held dozens of planning meetings with conservative members of Congress and White House staff.
  3. Facebook whistleblower Frances Haugen has brought many internal issues to light, including how Facebook worked to stop the spread of misinformation during the election, but then rolled back the emergency measures after the fact.
  4. And finally, Biden cited he would be open to altering the filibuster, but some things remain beyond the reach of the Freedom to Vote Act.
