If you never put stress on your muscles by not working out, what is going to happen is that you're going to start losing muscle mass. You also need stress in order for your muscles to maintain themselves and to grow. So if you removed all the stress from your life, you won't be able to grow as a person. 

Acute stress is needed but chronic stress should be avoided. A good ratio is that 20% to 30% of your life should have feelings of stress and the rest of your life should be stress free. If you go to work for 8 hours a day and you're stressed out for the entire period, then a change needs to happen. This type of living won’t be good for you and will cause you to break down.

Find ways that will challenge you and that's the stress you need in your life but there can be a point where you do too much too fast. So find the balance in your life and start growing.
