Today we’re celebrating the birthday of Václav Havel. A Czech playwright and political dissident who helped in revolutions that brought down Communist rule, Havel was also the last President of Czechoslovakia, and the first President of the Czech Republic. His legacy remains as a human rights activist and a symbol of freedom. Happy birthday, Václav!
