  • Located: Sharon Marie Cachini has been found
  • Located: Rodelo Holyan has been found and is safe

  • Alva R. Tom welcomed as Navajo Nation's Interim Controller
  • Extensive finance experience including CFO at Gallup Indian Medical Center
  • New Mexico DOT completes Route 134 chip seal project in Crystal, NM on October 7
  • Bi-annual maintenance to preserve roadways and increase safety

  • Early Monday, October 6: Legislation signed to fund Judicial Branch and restore Legislative Branch budget
  • Correcting misinformation on MMIP: $4.7 million delivered for FY 2026 (most in Navajo Nation history)
  • Executive Order 02-2025 coordinates plan to address missing persons cases
  • 4 Corners K-9 Search and Rescue initiative moving forward with initial $20,000 funding
  • Navajo DOT actively preparing for approaching storm with multi-agency coordination

  • 112th Northern Navajo Parade and Yei Bei Cheii attendance at Shiprock Fairgrounds
  • Fair theme: "Family is Our Strength"
  • Meeting with Navajo Nation Veterans Advisory Council on October 7
  • Recognition of newly appointed council members: Kyle Lewis (Chair), Tim Johnson (Vice-Chair), Toni Mina (Secretary)
