Zach and Keith discuss hunting in hill country during October and some of the things they have learned this season. Solid stands of timber and maximum foliage cover can be overwhelming when hunting early in the season in hilly terrain. Not only does it seem like deer can be anywhere but changing thermals create wind conditions that make it seem impossible to setup.  In this episode, we talk about our approach to finding deer in the dense forests of Ohio and some things were learned from blown setups. Keith also tells the story of how he setup on a bedding ridge in the first week of October and had a mature buck do exactly what he needed him to for a shot!

Topics Include:

-reading thermals throughout the day

-bedding shifts that happen throughout the month

-the story of how Keith killed his biggest buck in the first week of October
