In 2 Thessalonians 2:1-13, Paul steadies shaken believers facing false claims that the day of the Lord had already come. He outlines the clear sequence: a great rebellion, the revealing of the man of lawlessness who exalts himself in God’s temple, and the removal of the restrainer—possibly the Holy Spirit or a powerful angel. Satan empowers this figure with deceptive signs, yet Christ destroys him at His return. Believers, chosen for salvation, stand firm in truth amid growing lawlessness.

Psalm 22:1,7-8,14-16,18 stands as one of the Bible’s most striking Messianic prophecies. Written centuries before Christ, David vividly describes the crucifixion: the cry of abandonment (“My God, why have you forsaken me?”), public mockery, pierced hands and feet, and soldiers dividing garments by casting lots.
