Hello dear Hivers,
Lately I’ve been working on some video projects that are part of documenting my personal inner journey. Archetypes have played a key role in helping me understand myself on a deeper level, and through this video series, which begins with Odin, the archetype that has resonated with me the most, I’d like to share a bit of what I’ve learned and discovered along the way.
What You’ll Discover in This Episode:
We dive into Odin’s complex persona: god of wisdom, war, poetry, and magic. But beyond the myth, we ask deeper questions:
What does Odin symbolize within the human psyche?
Why is he obsessed with knowledge, even at the cost of pain and sacrifice?
What does it mean that he gave an eye for wisdom, or hung himself from the World Tree?
Could this myth represent a universal psychological journey of transformation?
We also examine Odin from the perspectives of Carl Jung and James Hillman, exploring his role as an archetype of the Wise Old Man, the Wounded Seeker, and the Shadow Magician. This episode links mythology with real psychological processes like individuation, shadow work, and the power of the word.
