These are the chapters where we go back and see the way that Calder meets Urzaia, and it's under way way different circumstances than I had expected. I had assumed he met Urzaia at the fighting pits, but it turns out that Urzaia was arrested for rebelling against direct orders from the Emperor. Which suits Calder just fine.
