Tedious - on all levels
I normally enjoy Angela Huth novels, but this one is very slow and ponderous. I could probably have done with an abridged version. While the story itself gently meanders on, The whole experience is not helped by the fact that this is yet another example of poor narration. As this is meant to be set to somewhere in the west country I'm not entirely sure why the main characters seem to have Norfolk accents. It is all very laboured and frankly I am getting increasingly bored with it. I am in the middle of ch 13 and I am writing this review now because I have just come across the narrator clearing his throat stopping and suggesting he goes back and reads a piece again before continuing! It seems the quality of editing is as poor as the narration!! I really do expect better than this from a professional set up such as Audible.
