It took place on August 19, 2001, at the Compaq Center at San Jose in San Jose, California. In the main event, The Rock challenged Booker T for the WCW Championship. The other two main matches on the card were Steve Austin versus Kurt Angle for the WWF Championship, and Rob Van Dam versus Jeff Hardy in a ladder match for the WWF Hardcore Championship.
