He sought the help of King Hiram of Tyre in obtaining materials and skilled workers for the construction. Solomon sends a message to Hiram, requesting cedar wood and skilled craftsmen.2 Chronicles 3:The construction of the temple begins in earnest. Solomon chose the site on Mount Moriah, where his father David had purchased a threshing floor. The chapter describes the temple's dimensions, materials used, and interior, including the Holy of Holies, the main sanctuary, and various decorations. The construction reflects the grandeur and significance of the temple as the dwelling place for the Lord.
