Welcome to the last show of OFR Season 8!

Battlefront II had a rough launch is putting it mildly, partly because of a business model rewards paying to get advantage over other players… that just wasn’t going to be accepted by fans of Star Wars, Battlefield games or AAA shooters, but I think that a big part of the uproars was mostly thanks to social media. (Even goober podcasts like OFR who titled their last show Battlepay II) We live in a world that more and more thrives on dirty laundry, click bait, sensationalism, over-criticalness, and sometimes just douchey. Let us/me just clarify something… pay to win isn’t the way to go here, but we at OFR love Star Wars, and this game looks incredible, story is awesome, and a multiplayer mode that is so beautiful you'll think you have become one with the force. I just don’t like the gamble or chance aspect of paid for loot boxes, or pay to win systems in general.  - Belgium’s gambling authority is investigating Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and Overwatch’s loot boxes

Star Wars Battlefront II physical sales drop 60 percent over first game in UK - Then they go on to say: “A drop in physical sales has been seen for most major releases this year,
