It must be fairly disheartening for the hundreds of developers at more than a dozen studios around the world. Approximately three years was spent crafting the open world of Ancient Egypt, only for gamers to blitz through it in a couple of weeks and move on to the next big release, never fully appreciating the care and attention that has gone into its environment. Announced last year and releasing on TODAY... February 20th, Discovery Tour will be free to everyone who has purchased the game or available as a standalone $20 download on Steam and Uplay

But I think it is doomed under YouTube Red’s paywall. With only about 1.5 million subscribers and another million on free trials (1 month) the percentage that will watch this just isn’t going to make it a hit no matter what. But it’ll make up viewers on pirated versions on regular YouTube. I’d love to see it go to Netflix.
