Proverbs 8:24

When there were no deep oceans I was born, when there were no springs overflowing with water;

We’re here live at Flavor Fest 2025, and it’s wild, man. Christian hip-hop everywhere — young lions on stage, energy off the charts. And right in the middle of it… three dudes with gray in their beards, still rocking the mic.

Yeah — that’s us, PID. Thirty-six plus years “in the game.” Grateful. Humbled. And after this set–Sore! (We’ll do the show… then reach for that Bio Freeze!)

But being here reminds me of this verse in Proverbs 8:24 Lady Wisdom steps up to the mic and says,

“When there were no deep oceans I was born, when there were no springs overflowing with water;”

Translation?

“I’m the Original…it’s been a while

Since I been around–Speak what’s

on my mind cause I got some

tenure now!” (aye!)

She’s not bragging. She’s saying, “Listen. I’ve seen some things.” Experience gives her authority. That’s what makes her voice weighty.

🧓🏽 Old Heads Be Knowing The Truth

See, we live in a culture that worships new. New sounds. New trends. New ideas. But some things aren’t new — they’re true. And truth, like good wine just gets better with age.

John the Beloved knew that. By the time he wrote 1 John he was an old man. No flashy tricks left. Just memories — “That which we have seen, heard, and touched with our hands.”

He wasn’t selling hype; he was sharing history with God. That’s the secret: your greatest power is your lived experience with God.

🔥 So Remember Beloved

When your style fades and your strength slows, your story still speaks. The most valuable thing you can leave this world is the evidence of your experience with God.

🙏🏽Prayer

Deepen my walk so my experience can outlive my years.

Today’s Challenge

Document one meaningful experience with God today — in writing, audio, or video. Tell the story of what you’ve seen and felt. One day, that story might be the verse someone else needs.
