Oh, fragile Earth ever since my birth.
you have brought me all that I need
and so much mirth but now you are
in dire straits and it's long past time
that we should wait to correct
what's killing you.......
We all have a
fragile crystal ball
assigned to our care
that holds all of our
tomorrows untold
its wonders for centuries
have been extolled
but as caretakers
we’ve lost control
of this beautiful blue
and white orb
massive in size
and yet it’s filled
with toxins
it’s clarity grown cloudy
with Hydrocarbons
all of it’s resources
auctioned off to
the highest bidders
and we are almost
out of options
like lazy possums
we have slept through
It’s escalating problems
and all the naysayer’s
mock the few crusaders
trying to save the
earth from danger
because those naysayer
are the players
who pay the Earth’s betrayers
lobbyist all granting favors
politicians who all savor
corporate cash, Ignoring nature
passing laws to aid the slayers
of this planet that we cherish
this precious palnet we all cherish
each one knowing
we might perish
but we as the caregivers
live with toxins in
our lungs and livers
watching the dying of
Earth’s critters
as our world sinks
in the shitter of pollution
are we long past restitution?
re-voting those in who deliver
poisons that cause all hearts to quiverr
as our air grows frail and thinner...
and thinner...and thinner
It’s long past time for revolution
we must demand their prosecution
for the murder of our planet
that we all just took for granite
granite that someday might be
tombstones over you and me
While our children laugh and play
all across its poisoned surface
each of them must be what spurs us
to remove those whose disservice
has cost our grandchildren dearly
cause our Earth its dying yearly
the time is now…. the answers clearly
time to change the status Quo
all those who poison have to "Go!"
We The People have grown weary
we will all act quite severely
if immediate changes fail to be
enacted now…immediately
or all of earths humanity
will rise up strong from sea to sea
to save our children and
our children’s children
from your cruel greed
we will fix earth’s needs
and if we have no other course
"WE WILL USE FORCE
