There is no manual for how to be the kind of dad that your kids will come to appreciate one day. It’s a learn- as -you- go proposition and mistakes will be made but thru the high and the lows there is one constant, a dad can have what he will always be remembered for: a sense of humor . Dads that can make their kids laugh are the dads that put a smile in their kids memory banks. Being silly is just as important as teaching respect and manners and will also have an affect on how your children act as parents.

In an America where political differences have eliminated any hope for compromise, how do people who love each other handle conflicting political views?. Being a man in today’s world is a lot different than just being the strong silent type or the guy who brings home the paycheck . Is masculinity what’s “expected” of us and what if we don’t always want to play the role of protector? What if we occasionally get tired of slaying the dragons? Put simply, is masculinity today a lose -lose situation?

It’s only human to pat yourself on the back when it comes to what you bring to a relationship, but here’s a word of advice . NEVER SAY IT OUT LOUD to your significant other. If you're the best thing that ever happened to her/him she/he doesn’t need you to pound the point home . If you're that good for them they’ll let ya know without you pounding your chest like a narcissistic chimpanzee.

Remember when everyone described America as the land of plenty ?
