Agitated by the liberal push to remove his adopted public domain theme song, Oh Susanna, due to apparent racial inequities, Ray throws a tantrum and storms out of the studio. But before Auggie can go full-on "Auggie-style," it's discovered Kelly has negotiated a new contract allowing her to host in the event Ray is incapacitated (physically, mentally, and/or legally).

Gone but never forgotten, Ray tries to make his presence known vicariously through the callers, but it doesn't go well. 

Meanwhile, despite a new theme song and direction for the show, Auggie quickly learns some things never change…
