Oh, what a Savior

Listen Later

Christmas! The day that most first-world children look forward to and most first-world adults dread. The children get gifts, gifts that they have wanted, and most of the time, gifts that will be broken or all but be forgotten about by the time Christmas vacation is over. The adults are on the hook for the gifts. Stress engulfs people this time of the year. Did I get the right gift? Did I remember everyone? How am I going to pay for all of this?

Upon witnessing the typical first-world family Christmas, someone who isn’t in the know would totally miss Christ. Isn’t that the case with most first-world Christians? If we allow someone who isn’t in the know to spend a day with us, wouldn’t they miss Christ as well? This is a sad statement, but it is true: Most first-world Christians are too busy pointing to self to point to Christ. May we all seek to glorify Christ as we celebrate His birth. Merry Christmas!

    • Why do we need alarm clocks? Does the church need to be awakened? Explain.
    • How do those who attend church often “trample” God’s courts?
    • Explain the importance of God’s invitation.
    • How can you remember and heed God’s warning daily?
    • ...more
