The Oilers were blanked by the Los Angeles Kings 3-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Oil did not generate much offence, making it easy on Kings goaltender Darcy Kuemper. Trent Frederic made his Oilers debut, showing well in seven minutes of ice time but would miss the last 15 minutes of the game due to an apparent injury. Calvin Pickard and the penalty kill were a few of the positives for Edmonton.
