If the universe were infinite and filled uniformly with stars, the night sky would never be dark, but bright everywhere. Modern research suggests the night sky’s darkness is because the universe is not old enough for starlight to fill all space. This fits with the idea of a designed universe created to support life, including the essential cycle of day and night.
