Old Man Luedecke describes himself as a "songwriting, banjo playing, guitaring, dad." Fatherhood is the central theme of his album, 'Domestic Eccentric' - a collection of songs, recorded with the wonderful Tim O'Brien in a cabin he built on his property in Nova Scotia. When Luedecke and Joel E. Hunt stopped by the studios of Beehive Productions in Saranac Lake, New York, he told Folk Alley that 'Domestic Eccentric' was created in response to his past songs about not having children. Now, with three little ones, he has a new point of view - including being on the road and coming home again.
