The Old Testament Scriptures were written from around 1400 B.C. to 400 B.C. The Old Testament starts with the Law. The Judges and then the Kings take over with the Foretelling of what is to come. There are major events like first expression of a kingdom with Nimrod. The Egyptian captivity. The Wilderness wandering. The entering into to Canaan for the land of the tribes. Judges reign until they reject God as their king for Saul. The reign of the kings end with Israel in Captivity in 722 B.C. in Assyria and then Judah taken to the same land of captivity from 586 to 516.
