Welcome to Episode #5, I am your host and the podcast creator, Sue Plant. This is the first season of The 60 and More Crowd Podcast. Thanks to the early listeners in the global audience! This a Canadian based podcast with a generous global viewpoint,
Many people across the globe who are in their 60’s, 70’ and beyond are approaching or moving past traditional retirement timelines and delaying their exit from the workforce. In Canada, close to 25% of people over the age of 65 are working in some capacity.
How will work fit into your life? The spotlight shines on modern worker longevity and highlighting the immense value older workers bring to the marketplace. These are short on the go episodes less than 8 minutes. Each episode features a different aspect of the working longer trend
In this episode we are taking an initial look at trends/key themes of older worker participation in specific countries: Japan, Switzerland, Denmark, The Netherlands and Canada. There is additional focus on he level and type of support and programs offered by employers/organizations.
How are both workers and employers/organizations navigating this big change to the labour force? This podcast was ground level inspired my experience as an older older worker navigating a work chapter, after leaving my longtime corporate sales role.
