Welcome to the 60 and More Crowd Podcast trailer.  I am your host Sue Plant, the founder, creator and producer of the Podcast- an interesting and new experience for me!

This is the first season of The 60 and More Crowd Podcast. Here on the podcast we shine the spotlight on the many people  in their 60's and 70's and more working longer, keeping work chapter in their life - me too!   Because for many of us in the 60 and More Crowd community , work isn’t over it's evolving.  We take a big picture look at how the workforce is changing not only in North America but around the globe- it's a Canadian made podcast with a global viewpoint.

Whether you’re in your 60s, 70s, or simply thinking ahead, this podcast is for anyone exploring what work can look like later in life.  In upcoming episodes we will be taking a look at organization readiness to support worker longevity. These are short on the go episodes less than 10 minutes, Each episode covers an aspect of the working longer.

in today's episode, we are taking at look at a trend that many people across the globe are navigating. They are approaching or moving past traditional retirement timelines and delaying their exit from the workforce. How does this look in various countries and what are the levels of support in place ( or needing a boost going forward) to support this big change to the labour force. Featured countries: Japan, Switzerland, Denmark, The Netherlands and Canada.

What's my connection to the topic- I am also navigating keeping a work chapter.,  Three years ago I left my longtime corporate sales/marketing role to explore new ways of working.  While exploring this path, two questions kept coming up: how are others navigating the work longer path and how are employers/organizations engaging and supporting this.  Why not dig a little deeper into these questions and create a podcast to connect with listeners and bonus highlighting the immense value older workers bring to the marketplace. 

In the spirit of the The 60 and More Crowd Podcast: you can't navigate new paths with an old map!
