The BUZZ caught up with Olivia Swann, who plays Supervisory Agent Michelle Mackey on the series, "NCIS: Sydney," to discuss what's to come for the new season. This is the first spinoff from the "NCIS" franchise that takes place outside of the United States. With the third season set to debut, Swann shared what the fans can expect to see:
"The action has already been kicked up so many notches. We are going for it this season. We can expect explosions, car chases, fight scenes, but also delving into the characters' pasts. We are also dealing with conspiracy theories, alien outback abduction, nano-technology, and a podcast cold case. There are so many things coming up this season."
Note that my eyes may have beamed up just a tad when she mentioned the podcast cold case... However, one of the callouts I did have to make was the possible tension between Mackey and JD Dempsey (Todd Lasance), and if there is a possible romance on the horizon:
"As the leaders of the team, they do have to be fully aware of the hierarchy and making sure they don't cross any professional boundaries. That will definitely remain the case. However, that doesn't stop two people from thinking about it...right?"
I mean, we have seen it happen before, but who am I to say?!
Swann talked more about exploring the characters' backstories this season, plus we also shared or love for jewelry and watches.
The season premiere of "NCIS: Sydney" airs on Tuesday, October 14th, at 10 PM ET on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
